For this rite, all three are petitioned over your name.

⚔ MICHAEL — DEFEND
Michael is the warrior.
The one associated with battle against the adversary, divine protection, courage, and defense against hostile spiritual forces.
Michael's portion of the rite is worked for:
Protection from enemies.
Spiritual defense.
Breaking hostile influence.
Protection of home and family.
Courage in the face of opposition.
Deliverance from what has come against you.
When something needs to be stood against—
Michael stands.
📯 GABRIEL — REVEAL & GUARD
Gabriel appears in Scripture as the divine messenger—the one entrusted with announcements, revelation, and communication of what God has determined.
Gabriel's portion of the rite is worked over your name, communication, information, and what must be made known.
For protection against lies.
Misrepresentation.
Confusion.
Hidden information.
Messages being distorted or withheld.
And for clarity concerning what you need to know in order to protect yourself.
Because sometimes protection is not only keeping danger away.
Sometimes protection is knowing the truth before the truth can hurt you.
⚕ RAPHAEL — HEAL & RESTORE
Raphael's name means “God heals.”
In the Book of Tobit, Raphael accompanies, protects, guides, heals, and participates in deliverance from a tormenting spirit.
His portion of the rite addresses protection through healing, restoration, safe passage, and recovery.
Protection over the body.
Protection during travel.
Protection through periods of recovery.
Protection of those who are vulnerable.
And restoration after something has already taken its toll.
Because sometimes the danger has passed—
but something still needs to be made whole.
WHAT ARE WE PROTECTING?
This rite may be entered for protection over:
Your person — body, peace, movement, travel and daily life.
Your household — family, children, home and those under your care.
Your name — reputation, work, communication and what is spoken concerning you.
Your spiritual life — defense against hostile influence, interference and spiritual attack.
Your recovery — protection surrounding restoration, healing and rebuilding after difficulty.
WHY SEPTEMBER 29?
September 29 is the traditional Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael in the Roman Catholic liturgical calendar.
That makes this the natural day for a rite centered upon the three together.
We do not need to manufacture a reason beyond that.
It is their feast.
And on their feast, we petition them according to the powers their sacred stories have come to represent:
Michael to defend.
Gabriel to reveal and guard.
Raphael to heal and restore.
