BEFORE 2027 ARRIVES, YOUR HOUSE MUST BE IN ORDER.

Our ancestors didn't simply sit around waiting for the clock to strike midnight and hope the coming year would be better than the last.

They prepared for it.

They washed their floors. They cleaned their doorways. They tended their lamps. They prepared their kitchens, dressed their thresholds, prayed over their households, and performed the workings necessary to send the old year out and welcome the new one in.

They understood something that many have forgotten:

The New Year doesn't just come in. You usher it in.

And how you prepare to receive it matters.

This two-day intensive is a journey into the ancestral Hoodoo practices, customs, superstitions, and conjurations surrounding the changing of the year.

We are going beyond resolutions, vision boards, and wishful thinking. We are returning to the traditional ways our elders prepared their homes, protected their families, cleared their roads, and called prosperity, peace, health, and good fortune into the coming year.

This is about preparing your home, your spirit, your money, and your household to receive 2027.

DAY ONE — NOVEMBER 21

THE LEAVING: CLEARING, CLEANSING & CLOSING THE OLD YEAR

You cannot properly welcome the new while refusing to release the old.

Before you can call anything into your life, you must understand what needs to leave.

Day One focuses on the ancestral customs and spiritual workings traditionally used to prepare the household for the turning of the year.

We will explore:

- The difference between ordinary housecleaning and spiritual house cleansing in Hoodoo.

- Traditional year-end customs and the importance of putting the house in order.

- Sweeping, washing, smoking, and spiritually preparing the home.

- Floorwashes, spiritual waters, herbs, roots, and household cleansing preparations.

- The spiritual significance of doors, windows, thresholds, and entrances.

- Working with Psalms, prayers, candles, and lamps to clear and prepare the household.

- Clearing spiritual residue, crossed conditions, stagnation, and unwanted influences.

- Closing the roads to what must not follow you into 2027.

- Honoring the ancestors and acknowledging the spiritual foundation of the household.

Day One is about what must be removed, resolved, released, and left behind before the New Year arrives.

DAY TWO — NOVEMBER 22

THE ENTERING: BLESSING, CONJURING & USHERING IN 2027

A clean house is only the beginning. Now you must call in what belongs there.

Our elders didn't just sweep the old year out. They knew how to welcome the new year with intention, prayer, preparation, and conjure.

Day Two explores the practices and customs used to invite blessing, prosperity, protection, good fortune, and increase into the home.

We will cover:

- Traditional Hoodoo New Year's customs and their spiritual meanings.

- First-footing, the first person to cross your threshold, and the significance of the first visitor.

- New Year's foods, their symbolism, and the ancestral traditions surrounding the kitchen and table.

- Money-drawing customs for encouraging prosperity and circulation throughout the year.

- Preparing prosperity bowls, money workings, and household blessing preparations.

- Anointing doors, dressing thresholds, and calling favor into the home.

- The role of lamps, candles, oils, roots, herbs, and prayers in New Year's conjuration.

- Traditional customs surrounding what to do—and what to avoid—on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

- Blessing the household for peace, health, harmony, protection, and prosperity.

- Creating your own intentional New Year's Eve and New Year's Day spiritual working.

Day Two is about calling in, welcoming, establishing, and spiritually preparing for what you intend to receive in 2027.

MORE THAN A CLASS. A RETURN TO ANCESTRAL KNOWLEDGE.

Hoodoo has always been deeply connected to the home, the land, the family, survival, protection, and prosperity.

Many of the customs our grandparents and great-grandparents practiced weren't accompanied by elaborate explanations. You simply knew certain things had to be done before the year ended.

The house had to be cleaned.

Certain foods had to be prepared.

Certain things were never done on New Year's Day.

The threshold mattered.

The first person through the door mattered.

How money entered and left the household mattered.

And the prayers spoken over the home mattered.

These traditions were more than ordinary holiday habits. They carried cultural memory, practical wisdom, spiritual symbolism, and generations of ancestral experience.

In this class, we'll examine both the customs and the conjure behind them, including how practices differ across families, regions, and Hoodoo lineages.

WHAT YOU WILL LEAVE WITH

By the end of this two-day experience, you will have the knowledge to:

- Create a complete ancestral New Year's preparation plan for your household.

- Perform traditional Hoodoo cleansing and blessing practices.

- Prepare your home for the spiritual transition into 2027.

- Understand the meanings behind familiar New Year's customs.

- Incorporate money, protection, health, and household harmony workings into your preparation.

- Establish meaningful practices that can be passed down through generations.

THE NEW YEAR DOESN'T BEGIN AT MIDNIGHT. YOUR PREPARATION BEGINS BEFORE IT.

We are not entering 2027 carrying everything that burdened us in 2026.

We are not leaving the condition of our households, our finances, or our spiritual foundations entirely to chance.

We are preparing the way.

We are cleaning the house.

We are blessing the doors.

We are tending the lamps.

We are calling in what we intend to receive and closing the roads to what we refuse to carry forward.

Because in Hoodoo, you don't just wish for a better New Year. You prepare for one.

Join OríAlchemy November 21–22 at 3:30 PM EST each day for two days of ancestral knowledge, traditional customs, practical instruction, and New Year's conjuration.

2027 IS COMING. HOW WILL YOU WELCOME IT?
