These are not ordinary dolls. Each doll is spiritually prepared, consecrated, and charged with heavy Àṣẹ (spiritual power), carrying spirits called upon to assist in the sacred work of healing, absorption, and restoration.

Within this spiritual practice, the dolls serve as vessels intended to receive and carry the energetic burden associated with illness, sickness, and physical suffering.

They are created to accompany you through your healing journey, offering spiritual support while you seek restoration of your health.

THE SACRED WORK OF THE NKISI

Your Nkisi Doll is not a decoration or a toy.

It is a consecrated spiritual vessel, prepared with specific intentions and called-upon spiritual forces.

In this practice, the doll is believed to take on the energetic weight associated with sickness, holding that charge as you move through your healing process.

Keep your Nkisi close throughout your illness. Place it beside your bed, near your pillow, or somewhere close to you during periods of rest and recovery.

Allow it to remain your spiritual companion throughout your healing journey.

WHEN THE ILLNESS HAS PASSED

Your Nkisi is not meant to remain with you forever.

Once you have recovered from the illness or completed the particular healing work for which the doll was prepared, its service is considered complete.

At that time, you must respectfully release it.

1. Give Thanks

Acknowledge the spirit and sacred work of your Nkisi. Offer gratitude for its service, companionship, and the spiritual burden it was called upon to carry.

2. Release the Doll

Within this practice, there are two traditional-style methods of spiritual release:

• Crossroads Burial: Return the doll to the earth at an appropriate, legally permitted location, symbolically releasing the burden it was called upon to carry.

• Fire Release (My Preferred Method): Ceremonially release the doll through fire, symbolizing the ending of its assignment and the transformation of what it has spiritually held. Burning must only be done where legal and safe, with attention to the doll's materials and potential toxic fumes.

3. Do Not Reuse

Once the doll has completed its spiritual assignment, it should not be passed to another person or used for another illness.

Its work is complete.

These dolls are not intended to replace medical treatment, medications, professional medical advice, or emergency care. Their spiritual purpose and traditional beliefs should not be understood as medically proven abilities to absorb disease, cure illness, or alter medical outcomes.

For those living with chronic conditions, the doll may be dedicated to a particular period of spiritual support, rather than waiting for a condition to resolve completely.
